Princess Pyung-gang and Stupid Ondal - Japanese Subtitles
“Princess Pyung-gang and Stupid Ondal” is an old Korean folktale about love. In the story, Pyung-gang and Ondal discover each other’s value and accept it unconditionally during the most turbulent of time times. They find their worth by accepting each other just the way they are. Bookteller’s Quilt’s adaptation is unique in its use of everyday objects like paintbrushes, spoons, kettles, baskets, brooms, and so on. Expensive toys are unnecessary here - common objects around us are all we need as our creative play tools. The theatrical experience created by using these very ordinary objects, combined with the fun approach of the storytellers, and the emotive live music deliver a vivid and dramatic experience to young audiences that inspires their creativity. Winner of Best Play, Most Popular, Best Music, and Best Actress I n the 23rd Seoul Children’s Theatre Awards (2015) run by ASSITEJ Korea.
