ASSITEJ International has three awards that each, in different ways, celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions to theatre and performing arts for young audiences locally, regionally, and globally.

The ASSITEJ International Lifetime Achievement Award is given for an outstanding body of work over time and a profound and lasting contribution as a practitioner of theatre and performing arts for children and young people.

The ASSITEJ International Inspirational Playwrights Award honours three inspirational playwrights. This award is sponsored and adjudicated by Write Local. Play Global. (WLPG), a Professional Network of ASSITEJ International.

The Geesche Wartemann Emerging Scholars Award is made in memory of Geesche Wartemann. The award is sponsored and adjudicated by the International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network (ITYARN), a Professional Network of ASSITEJ International.
