Internationalise Your Practice! International Festivals

ASSITEJ International holds sessions targeted towards sector professionals with the common aim of internationalising their professional and artistic practice. It is intended to be peer learning, with more experienced practitioners sharing their thoughts and views. In this session, we will discuss best practices of international festivals in different countries and will hear from their creators and directors.   • Miguel Azcue - Festival Transitos Havana (Cuba, Sweden)
  • Anna Eitzeroth, secretary general of ASSITEJ Germany will walk about festivals for young audiences in Germany that connect regional theatre and international guest performances in different ways.(Germany)
  • Barbara Maleka - Barbara is co-founder (since 2010) of the Art Fraction Foundation, an NGO that carries out projects aimed at the youngest audiences and supports the development of theatre for the youngest audiences with a focus on international collaboration. She has been an active member of the Small Size Network since 2013 and was a board member from 2016-2019. For 13 years, she was the artistic director of the International Festival "Art Seeks Toddlers" (2009-2021) and is currently organising the "Festival of the Youngest" (from 2022). (Poland)
