During the session I will share the recordings of audios made in the theaters of the Centro Cultural del Bosque of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura in Mexico City.
Since 2020, I am in charge of the Theater Program for Children and Youth, the programming of these spaces throughout the year, for general audiences and school groups. There is a special experience in receiving groups on each occasion.
Programming is an enormous responsibility, but inhabiting the theaters with children and their families, or their teachers or schoolmates has led me to reflect on listening, the adult and child voices that are encountered: how that “voice” provokes or limits the experience of the staging to be seen.
I will share examples of reactions during performances, interviews, random comments before, during and after the performance; in the context of festivals, school morning performances, weekends with families, special performances, etc. Sharing sound variations according to specific contexts.
Attendees will be invited to share experiences as a company, a programmer or responsible of scenic spaces.
