More and more artists are involving children and young people in their research, their source of inspiration and their creative process.
What is the nature of this involvement of children and young people? What exactly are artists looking for? Confirmation of their artistic intuition? A fruitful challenge? Is it a sign of a new poetic and political commitment to the younger generation? Do these experiments change the relationship with the audience or not? What impact do these new creative processes have on programming, artistic education and cultural awareness-raising activities?
Drawing on the creative approaches of artists who include toddlers, children and/or young people, we will examine these new modes of artistic research, their underlying motivations and their impacts.
