The national centres of ASSITEJ in Angola, Brazil and Mozambique, and the Affiliate member of ASSITEJ in Portugal invite Portuguese-speaking TYA practitioners from every corner of the world to get together in this informal session. The session is meant to be a space where we meet in a relaxed way and get to know each other. Our focus is the new Portuguese-Speaking Countries Network of ASSITEJ, which has been an important topic in our discussions and meetings since 2021.
As the session goes on, some topics may be addressed, such as:
- The distinct contexts of the existing national centres;
- The support and mentorship offered by centres and other networks towards new centres and Affiliates within our Portuguese-Speaking countries community;
- The challenges each centre goes through towards economic sustainability and representation;
- How effective our advocacy for children's and young people's rights to arts and education has been so far;
- How far we have progressed towards the recognition of the value of arts in the lives of children and young people;
- Which national and international institutions may be allies and partners in our field in our countries and within our language-based region;
- And many others.
Come join us and share your thoughts!
