This session is designed as a meeting that enables better acquaintance and finding common historical points of interest in the region of Slavic countries and Eastern Europe. After the informal initial meeting of representatives from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro in Havana, Cuba in 2024 (ASSITEJ World Congress), we propose AAG2025 in Marseille as the place for our first official meeting and the establishment of a new regional ASSITEJ network.
This network will support new bright generations through:
- Sharing good practices and exchange of knowledge
- Supporting each other in advocating for TYA in our countries and its innovations
- Finding bridges between independent scenes and institutions through international cooperation
- Continuously educating and maintaining focus on TYA in the region
- Joint presentation at international ASSITEJ gatherings, understanding the network's specifics in the global community
- Mutual support for representatives from countries where continuous TYA support is often lacking
Our historical connection over the last hundred years, the transition from socialism to capitalism, and the sharing of similar patterns in TYA development motivate our advocacy for this region, its artists, projects, and programs.
