The Belgian sector of performing arts for young audiences has developed a unique expertise in artistic collaboration with children and/or adolescents in a professional creation context. The success of these co-created works lies in the fact that the children and young people involved are full artistic partners in the creative process.
During this professional exchange, we aim, on one hand, to share this expertise through concrete examples of recent creations and testimonials from some young professional artists who have experienced that type of work as children or adolescents and have grown on to make performances themselves. On the other hand, we hope to engage in a dialogue with similar practices from around the world.
