We propose to bring together for a sharing of experience several people involved in youth production: Mireille Dejean and Steve Frick, performing artists with disabilities, Félicie Artaud, director of the Joli Mai company, and Delphine Maurel, director of La Bulle Bleue. They will each discuss the following themes from their perspective: What does "creating for youth" mean for these artists? Why do they want to address young audiences and what questions, challenges and emotions does this raise for them? Does offering an inclusive stage necessarily involve a renewal of content and representations? Should we, and how should we, position ourselves in discussions about disability?
The discussion will be moderated by Maud Verdier, linguist and anthropologist, who examines the notions of fracture, being outside the frame, legitimation and norm. Our discussion will allow us to relate a concrete experience of inclusive theater, and to give voice to artists with disabilities as protagonists but also as designers of these processes. Maud Verdier's contribution will be major as she conducts research on "the ethical questions posed to the field of art by theatrical creation work with actors with disabilities".
