Training offered by representatives of Groupe Phare (a theater company project composed of twenty young people from all districts of Marseille, conducted over three years): discovery of Viewpoints, an American method of relational body work and mutual listening. Viewpoints is a collective improvisation method for actors. It offers great spontaneity in performance and a constantly renewing spirit of openness. It requires both physical and mental availability. During collective improvisations, the performer trains to focus their attention on nine different "viewpoints" (tempo, duration, kinesthetic response, repetition, shape, gesture, architecture, spatial relationship, topography), thus deeply enriching their stage presence. From this physical experience, we will invite participants to engage in a broader discussion about implementing long-term artistic adventures with teenage audiences. How can we envision a theater where professional artists and young amateurs work side by side? What creative processes can emerge from active pedagogy? The session will consist of two parts: 45 minutes of practice and 45 minutes of discussion about what was experienced.
