Networking session led by the Ibero-American ASSITEJ network, with other regional networks participating (in person or online). Presentation of members, ongoing projects, and future perspectives, followed by an open discussion to identify common ground and explore cooperation possibilities.

About the Artists

María Inés Falconi Argentinian playwright and writer for children and young people. She wrote more than 50 plays, short stories and novels which have been staged or published in Argentina and other countries around the world and translated into different languages. Her plays received National and International Awards. Theatre Director and Drama and Playwriting in TYA Professor in Universidad Popular de Belgrano and Drama School Buenos Aires City. She has also presented workshops, lectures and conferences in different countries around the world. She created and organized different international projects related to TYA like Taboo Workshops, Schoolyarrd Stories in Latin America- theatre for adolescents and International TYA Researchers and Critics Forums in Buenos Aires. María Inés Falconi has been ASSITEJ Executive Committee Member since 2005 to 2014 and Vice president during the two last periods. At the moment she is ATINA (ASSITEJ Argentina) President and ASSITEJ Honorary Member.

 

Kenia Rodríguez Actress, puppeteer and theatre teacher with 25 years of experience. President of the Cuban Center of ASSITEJ She is a graduate in Education: Art Instructor and Teacher in Education and Child Development. She is a graduate in theater for children and a Diploma in theatre for children and puppets at the University of the Arts. He is a member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC). Professor of acting, design and oral narration at the University of Pedagogical Sciences Enrique José Varona. He has published several articles and participated in scientific events with lectures on theater, puppets and early childhood education, primary and secondary schools.

 

Inés Bascuñán Holds a degree in Arts with focus on Acting and Theatre Pedagogy from the University of Art and Social Sciences (ARCIS) and is a cultural manager from the Catholic University. With 14 years of experience in theatrical production and project management, she has worked as an actress in various productions. As a producer, she has collaborated with multiple companies, including Proyecto Buenaventura and Teatro Histórico La Chupilca. Currently, produces for several groups, including Caleuchístico, Circo Virtual, and La Negra María Teatro. Her commitment to TYA is evident in her role as president of the Asociación Te Veo ASSITEJ Chile, where she has represented Chile in international presentations in Montreal, Valladolid, Cuba, Mexico, and Uruguay, among others. She has also worked in communities through artistic workshops, promoting personal development and inclusion. Her work as a teacher at Fundación Senderos since 2010 reinforces her dedication to social impact through art.

 

Cleiton Echeveste Actor, playwright, director and researcher based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Cleiton has a Master’s degree (UNIRIO) in Performing Arts. His thesis investigates gender and sexuality dissidences in Theatre for Young Audiences, based on the work developed over almost two decades with Pandorga Theatre Company. His plays have won awards and been translated into Spanish and published in Brazil, Peru and Argentina. Has collaborated with national and international institutions as curator and lecturer. Regularly collaborates with Brazilian companies, such as Tapetes Contadores de Histórias and Companhia Vento Minuano, in TYA creations. He is a member of the Brazilian Center of ASSITEJ (CBTIJ/ASSITEJ Brasil), where he’s been president of the Board of Directors (2017-2023). He is part of the boards of Write Local Play Global (WLPG) and the International Inclusive Arts Network (IIAN) of ASSITEJ, and regularly collaborates with the ASSITEJ Ibero-American Network (IBEROASSITEJ). Gonzalo Moreno has a degree in Art History and is a Cultural Manager with nearly 20 years of experience in project management. With a background as Publishing Book Editor, Graphic Designer, Web Developer, Producer of musical events and Communication and Sales Officer for different publishing houses, record labels and bookstores. He is the Manager of ASSITEJ Spain since 2015 and Secretary General of the board since 2018. His work enhancing the Spanish National Center, supported by an incredible board, has led ASSITEJ Spain to a significant growth in activity, partners and collaborations with public administration in the recent years. Member of the ASSITEJ Executive Committee (2024-2027).

 

Anelvi Rivera Cultural manager and actress. Graduated from the National School of Theatrical Art of the National Institute of Fine Arts. She has also studied philosophy, performing arts and cultural policies for youth. She has focused her interest in the construction of co-creation proposals with adolescents, and in the management and development of cultural projects for children and youth from a guaranteeing, participatory, inclusive and diverse perspective. She has participated in forums and conferences with the Organization of Iberoamerican States, World Congress of Theater for Children and Youth - ASSITEJ International, in Cape Town, South Africa and Havana, Cuba, El Petit Festival and Performing Arts Fair, Spain. As an actress she has performed in Mexico, Denmark, Italy and France. She is currently in charge of the Theater Program for Girls, Boys and Young People of the National Theater Coordination, National Institute of Fine Arts, Mexico.

 

Myriam Caprile Graduate of the Bachelor of Social Communication Sciences from the Catholic University of Uruguay (generation 1982). Currently Director-editor of www.plateavip.com.uy, a publication of shows and culture, since 2011. She was president of the Association of Theater for Children and Youth (ASSITEJ Uruguay 2017-2023). Currently Secretary of ASSITEJ Uruguay. Since 2014, she has been one of the organizers of the annual Festival held by ASSITEJ Uruguay, where plays are offered to school students, bringing approximately 5,000 children to the theater each year. Theater, musical and television producer. Member of the jury for the Florencio Awards for Children's Theatre from 1987 to 2019. Member of the Association of Theatre Critics of Uruguay since 1985. She participated as a jury on three occasions in La Movida Joven (Teenage Theatre). She was a member of the National Commission for Support of Theatre (COFONTE) from 2017 to 2023.
