Chance Encounters
Vigdis Jakobsdottir

Warning: limited number of places!
Bookings for this workshop will open on March 17.

This practical workshop invites artists to explore how randomness and playful collaborative tools can unlock new creative possibilities in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA). Through spontaneous and fun exercises, participants will discover how chance can inspire fresh ideas and foster collaboration across cultural and linguistic boundaries. The session emphasises artistic openness, encouraging participants to break out of familiar routines and to embrace new approaches in their creative practice. Participants will engage with random prompts and explore challenging topics of their own choosing, fostering deeper reflection on key issues in TYA. This playful process encourages participants to tackle difficult themes in a supportive, dynamic environment. By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained practical tools for overcoming creative barriers, a deeper understanding of collaboration across cultural and linguistic differences, and hopefully some inspiration for their future practice. They will also form meaningful connections with international TYA artists, fostering opportunities for future collaboration.
