Puissant·es (Powerful)
Compagnie 3637

Performance Programme

Tonight, Mael, Kadija and Sonik are meeting up near the Canal Bridge. Tonight, they slip into the darkness and stick their rage on the walls. In black and red letters, they form sentences that denounce, give hope, make visible the injustices they have experienced and exorcise their pain.

Driven by an anger that makes them stronger, their resilient bodies run, climb walls, get carried away until anger is transformed into joy...

The joy of resisting, of taking action, of speaking out and of being together. The joy of collectively rejecting the paths that have been mapped out for centuries, and inventing new ones that are freer and fairer.

About the Artists

Founded in Brussels in 2008 and directed by Sophie Linsmaux and Coralie Vanderlinden, Compagnie 3637 creates shows for young audiences and the general public that take on vast and complex subjects that reflect the world we live in: the values of freedom, uniqueness and respect for differences are their fundamental values. Over the course of their creative work, they have organically developed their identity through a mix of forms, languages and artistic universes. Coming from different backgrounds and driven by diverse sensibilities, they have developed an artistic approach that blends words, movement, puppetry, sound, etc., offering several modes of transmission and therefore diverse lines of interpretation.
