With the Bayeux Tapestry as a backdrop, this show embroiders in bad faith the conquest of the Kingdom of England by William the Conqueror in 1066. On a traveling television set, the best experts are summoned. They try to broaden the debate to the international relations that have existed since then between France and England. A dubious host ensures that the rules of the game are respected... All around, supporters galvanized by their songs wave their flags, their banners. Through this free evocation of the Battle of Hastings, it is an attempt to awaken the critical analysis of the spectators/supporters attending a rigged match that is being played here...

About the Artists
Bob Théâtre strives to develop a personal vision of how to address young audiences, playing on the double interpretations of the child's and the adult's gaze, and adopting an artistic rather than a pedagogical approach. It likes to play with discrepancies, derision, double meanings, precision in staging, breaks and taking the audience into unexpected and unforeseen territory.
Vélo Théâtre is one of the pioneers of object theatre in Europe. Its shows are based on images, and it believes that if an actor can interpret a word or a phrase, he can also interpret an object or a series of objects. The emotion comes from the fragile relationship established with the objects that he brings to life on stage.
