Buck, a well-grown dog with thick hair, lived in a big house in sun-kissed Santa Clara Valley. He had a happy life, and nothing was missing. Until. Why is it so cold here? What is the white matter that falls from the sky onto my nose? Where are they all rushing to? Which animal is causing such a smell? Why are they putting belts on my body? And what is that howling from far away? Buck's journey is full of distress but also surprises - surprises that emerge not only from the unknown environment he finds himself in but also from his spirit. On the Wolf’s Trail is an adaptation of Jack London's famous novel, Call of the Wild. The ensemble includes six actors, one drummer, ten microphones, four dogs, and one deer that come together to tell the story of this domesticated dog that was stolen and sold to work in Yukon province (Canada) during the gold rush.
