The Art of War
Sun Wu’s book, The Art of War, is composed of 13 articles that total over 6000 characters. A famous strategist living in the Spring and Autumn Period of China (770-453 BC), Sun Wu wrote this seminal book boasting of a long history of military stories and successes. It has had a profound effect and, to this day, the importance of this writing persists. Its message remained, enlightening us always. This production, which is created from the perspective of the child, uses The Art of War as a vehicle to tell Aesop’s fable of “The Turtle and the Hare” through a funny physical performance.
