Essential to COVID Recovery – How Artists and Theatres Can Help Our Youngest Children
Small Size Network
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been felt by everyone, in many different ways. Our youngest children are some of those most affected – babies born in 2020 who have yet to meet their grandparents, toddlers and young children who have not had the opportunity to play and to connect with their friends in nursery, school or in their communities. The impact will be long-term and Theatre and the Arts have a fundamental role to play in enabling young children to make meaning of their experiences, their emotions, and the world in which they are growing up. The discussion will begin with the sharing of experiences from Small Size Network members, after which the floor will be open to everyone.
