International Collaborations: The Translation Project
Maltese Playwright Simone Spiteri, French playwright Karin Serres, and US director Deirdre Kelly Lavrakas examine the process of verbal and cultural translation of a play for teenagers, originally written in Maltese into English. This session will exhibit a video of the Maltese production followed by a stimulating and insightful conversation about this process of cultural translation.
