Beginning the Creative Process with the Biography of a Character
In this presentation, we will share our creative process in which we have worked with creative insight, such as poetry, the story of a different girl, the childhood of great Chilean writers and the letters from children to their parents who were detained and disappeared. We will focus on our last Montage, revealing the construction of a dramaturgy through biographical documents of boys and girls who lived through the Chilean military dictatorship between 1973 and 1989. The way we worked with different creative triggers (letters, drawings, photos, sounds, songs, textures , colors) that built a scenic proposal from the documentary and from the fiction. The implications and consequences of this process had deep effects on our creative research, in which we took the "gaze of a child" as our starting point. In this presentation, we will share these experiences and discuss the relevance and urgency of working on these issues with today's children to build consciousness in our new generations.
