The concept of inclusion is increasingly widespread in our societies. The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 13, 2006 aims for the full enjoyment of fundamental human rights by persons with disabilities and their active participation in political, economic, social and cultural life. What about deaf people who practice sign language? After having wondered about the notion of disability linked to this community, we will discuss the question of cultural accessibility and its implementation on theater sets. Sign language is increasingly popular and raises important and founding questions when we talk about the creative processes and visibility of Deaf artists. What exactly means working in a bilingual team (Deaf people and hearing people) and how the linguistic and cultural encounter can give rise to a unique experience for the artists and the audience.
