WRITE LOCAL. PLAY GLOBAL is the playwrights network of ASSITEJ - connecting playwrights for young audiences worldwide. WLPG works together with IIAN in order to raise awareness and interest in TYA playwrights in creating productions which feature inclusivity. Chaired by WLPG UK playwright Ginni Manning, this online session starts with a live reading of an excerpt of the Akvarious Production WHAT PLANET ARE YOU ON? Based on the work and findings of Pierre Pichot, adapted for the stage and directed by Akarsh Khurana, it features a teenage boy suffering from ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder or AD/HD which is Attention Deficit Hyper-activity disorder. There will follow a discussion of the play's production in India and its inclusivity with the creative team. The session will end with an opportunity for Q and A.
